Pakistan Quetta Bomb

QUETTA, Pakistan — Police say two bombs exploded minutes apart at a billiards hall in southwest Pakistan, killing 17 people.

Police officer Hamid Shakeel says the attack Thursday night in Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province, also wounded more than 20 people.

Pakistan’s SAMAA TV channel says one of its cameramen was killed by the second bomb after he rushed to the scene to cover the attack.

No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing.

Baluchistan has experienced a decades-long insurgency by nationalists who demand greater autonomy and a larger share of the province’s natural resources.

It is also home to many Islamist militants, including the Taliban.
