Dear friends,
I want to let you know about a great campaign being run by the son of a good friend of mine and marine turtle expert, Rod Mast, at the Oceanic Society.  His son, Morrison, is hosting a “crowd-raiser” to support a Guna Indian community in Panama.  Morrison, a recent Biology grad of the College of William and Mary and his Anthropologist girlfriend, Amanda Gibson, developed a project concept to help the Guna preserve and promote their musical tradition, while simultaneously supporting community development and sea turtle conservation.  They recorded the first album of Guna Indian folkloric music that has just gone on sale on iTunes and elsewhere, and they posted a great video explaining the project at their site, so please go check it out and help them to meet their sales goal.  All the proceeds benefit sea turtle conservation and cultural preservation.
